Berivan Eliş is the Founding Manager of IstasyonTEDU, where she leads the work on social enterprise development and partnership building for a dynamic social innovation and social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey.
Berivan has a cross-sector background focused on social development across a portfolio of youth, accessibility, gender and human security issues. She previously worked at the EU Delegation to Turkey, Bilkent University, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG). She has extensive research and training experience and she is passionate about information activism. Since September 2016, she has been teaching courses on civic involvement and social innovation under the Global Citizenship Secondary Field Program at TED University.
Berivan holds an MA degree in International Relations from Bilkent University and a BA degree in the same field from Ankara University.
Emre Güzel joined IstasyonTEDU team in February 2018. He is a social entrepreneur himself, working on coliving and community building practices. He has been an elected member of the 2017-2018 TEDU Student Council. He has chaired LOGOS Society and coordinated the Living Library activities fighting anti-discrimination. He volunteered in various advocacy projects, focusing on discriminatory discourse in the media, and has been supporting civil society organizations with his design skills. .
He is a peer-to-peer trainer of sexual health care in the Y-PEER Turkey Network. He is interested in gender equality and youth development.
He is about to get his BS degree in Industrial Engineering at TED University with a minor in Global Citizenship.
Merve studied Economics at TED University and her minor programme was Management. She was a Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation (Girvak) fellow. She was the president of the Student Council during the 2015-2016 academic year. She has been a member of Istasyon team since April 2016 and she has been involved in the development of incubation program and community building activities.
Sinem Gökçe joined IstasyonTEDU in September 2018, where she leads the work on project development and management. She previously worked at the public sector and academic institutions. She also managed her own consultancy company. She worked on issues such as public grants, investment feasibilities, sectoral evaluations, market analyses, public innovation and entrepreneurship. She volunteered for Sen De Gel and for Community Volunteers (TOG).
She studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University (BS), Engineering Management at METU (MS), Management and Organization at İnönü University (PhD). Her PhD thesis is on project management. She has published articles on organizational behavior, management, leadership and innovation.
