Berivan studied International Relations at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences (B.A.) and at Bilkent University, Faculty of Economic, Administrative and Social Sciences (M.A.). She worked at the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG), United Nations Development Programme, Bilkent University, and at the Economic and Social Development Section of the EU Delegation to Turkey. She worked in youth, gender, violence against women, human security, and social development related projects and programmes. She volunteered for various NGOs and civic platforms in data collection, categorization, analysis and information activism related work. She received and gave training on community building, volunteer engagement, nonviolent communication and negotiation techniques. She has been working in the establishment process of TED University Center for Social Innovation since December 2015. Apart from social entrepreneurship, social innovation, and human development, she is interested in collective memory and information activism.
Bilgi started her career in a nation-wide NGO in Turkey for nature conservation in 1996 and continued in the United Nations as the National Coordinator of the Small Grants Programme of the Global Environment Facility (GEF SGP) between 2000-2008. During this time, she endeavored to link environmental movement with other social areas. For the last two years, she has been providing part-time expertise to the Civil Society Development Centre (STGM). Bilgi has a B.SC degree on business administration from Hacettepe University and an M.Sc. on agro-food economics from L’Institut Agronomique Meditérraneen de Montpellier (France). She joined the team in October 2019.
Emre is studying Industrial Engineering at TED University pursuing a minor in Global Citizenship. He has chaired LOGOS Society and coordinated the Living Library activities in 2016-2017. He has been an elected member of the 2017-2018 TEDU Student Council. He is a peer-to-peer trainer for sexual health care and reproductive health for youth in the Y-PEER Turkey network. Currently, he is involved in various advocacy projects focusing on discriminatory discourse in the media. He is interested in gender mainstreaming, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. He joined the team at Istasyon in December 2017.
Estefany is a senior student at Rosario University, Bogotá (Colombia) and studying in the department of International Relations. She is the founder of “Cerros de Cambio” (Hills of Change) project which is related with children education in Colombia. She has been involved in voluntary work in different NGOs, events and organizations such as: INCIDE (Colombia), CMUDE (Colombia), Leaders in the U (Colombia), Greenpeace (Canada), Rotary (Turkey), among others. She studied at METU (Middle East Technical University) as an Erasmus+ exchange student, and is the vice president of AIDDE, an International Association of Digital Debate in Spanish. She joined the Istasyon team in August 2019.
Merve studied Economics at TED University and her minor programme was Management. She was a Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation (Girvak) fellow. She was the president of the Student Council during the 2015-2016 academic year. She has been a member of Istasyon team since April 2016 and she has been involved in the development of incubation program and community building activities.
Miray is an undergraduate 4th-grade student at the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department also is taking the Global Citizenship Program as a secondary field at the TED University. She is graduated from the International Baccalaureate Program of TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School. In 2011-2014 she worked as a board member and vice president of TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School’s Event Society. In the May 2015 – May 2016 period she was the secretary-general of the TEDU Radio Society. In 2016-2017 she was a publication board member of the Kavaklıderem Foundation’s Kavakyeli Magazine. She is interested in psychology, literature, and communication. She joined the Istasyon team in October 2018.
Sinem studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University (BS degree), Engineering Management at METU (MS Degree), Management and Organization at İnönü University (PhD. Degree) and she is still studying Sociology at İstanbul University. She worked at Bilkent University, Roketsan, ABİGEM, Fırat Development Agency, İnönü University and founded her own company on education and consultancy. She worked voluntarily for Community Volunteers (TOG) and SendeGel. Besides her thesis on project management, she worked on many fields like grants, investment feasibilities, sectoral evaluation, market analysis, public innovation and enterpreneurship. She has published articles on organizational behavior, management, leadership and innovation. She has been working at İstasyon TEDU team since September 2018.
