TEDU implemented, "Fostering an Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem: Müşterek Project" between February – November 2023. The project aims to enhance the capacity of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Türkiye to be more inclusive.
In order to drive meaningful change across sectors, the project brings together different impact actors such as social entrepreneurs, including those from refugee and migrant backgrounds, (social) entrepreneurial support organizations, technoparks, and private sector. The activities organized within the scope of the Müşterek Project include;
- Boosting Program: Tailored specifically to empower entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs) working with migrant and refugee communities. 34 participants from 21 entrepreneurship support organizations participated in the Program.
- Co-creation Workshops: Each workshop, 3 in total, aimed at conducting a needs assessment in different communities. 32 participants from 28 SESOs, 12 migrant and refugee entrepreneurs, and 7 international organizations joined the workshops.
- Community of Practice (CoP): Facilitating regular knowledge sharing, peer learning, and collaboration among social entrepreneurs and broader ecosystem stakeholders, particularly focused on diversity, equity and inclusivity.
- Inclusivity Festival: This online festival aimed to launch the Inclusivity Toolkit, which serves as a guide for designing and delivering programs that are more inclusive. In total, 127 participants joined the festival.
The main outcome of the project is the Inclusivity Toolkit, designed to guide support organizations to deliver inclusive programs. More can be found here:
With its focus on fostering a more inclusive ecosystem and establishing collaborations across sectors, this project directly contributes to SDG5 and SDG7 as well.
