Berivan Eliş is the Founding Manager of IstasyonTEDU, where she leads the work on social enterprise development and partnership building for a dynamic social innovation and social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Turkey.
Berivan has a cross-sector background focused on social development across a portfolio of youth, accessibility, gender and human security issues. She previously worked at the EU Delegation to Turkey, Bilkent University, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG). She has extensive research and training experience and she is passionate about information activism. Since September 2016, she has been teaching courses on civic involvement and social innovation under the Global Citizenship Secondary Field Program at TED University.
Berivan holds an MA degree in International Relations from Bilkent University and a BA degree in the same field from Ankara University.
Sinem Gökçe joined IstasyonTEDU in September 2018, where she leads the work on project development and management. She previously worked at the public sector and academic institutions. She also managed her own consultancy company. She worked on issues such as public grants, investment feasibilities, sectoral evaluations, market analyses, public innovation and entrepreneurship. She volunteered for Sen De Gel and for Community Volunteers (TOG).
She studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University (BS), Engineering Management at METU (MS), Management and Organization at İnönü University (PhD). Her PhD thesis is on project management. She has published articles on organizational behavior, management, leadership and innovation.
Yaprak Doğuer has joined the team in October 2020. She is a student at the Department of Early Childhood Education. She volunteered in various social projects focused on access to books and awareness raising in children about global warming. She is a member of the Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats (TEMA) and Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV). She is interested in child psychology, gender equality, and human rights issues.
Batuhan Arı has joined the team in September 2019. He is a third-year student at TED University, Department of Industrial Engineering. Previously, he served on the boards of directors of communities such as AlecTED, Science and Technology, and Kaizen. He is currently the President of the Kaizen Group. His interest in the topic of social entrepreneurship increased while he was working at Abdullah Gul University’s Youth Factory in the summer of 2019, he joined IstasyonTEDU afterwords. In 2020, he served as the National Coordinator of the youth NGO, Civil Life Association’s “From City to the Village” project.
